The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in operations, leadership, mergers and acquisitions, and startup environments, as well as an entrepreneurial mindset. Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board of Directors and the executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
- Plan, develop, implement, and direct the organization's operational and fiscal function and performance.
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the company to the company’s constituents, the media, and the general public.
- Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout the industry, and with potential business partners.
- Evaluate and advise on the potential impact of long-range planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.
- Develop and lead the execution of the company’s growth strategy, including potential mergers and acquisitions.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
- Mentor and develop a direct team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
- Review and analyze financial reports, and other data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of executive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role, where he/she has taken an entrepreneurial approach to driving the business.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing growth strategies, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Deep understanding of financial strategies and finance-related performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational excellence.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Proven negotiation skills and a broad business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to effectively build relationships with other leaders, staff, the public, and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a startup environment, including the ability to articulate and implement a strategic vision, set objectives, and manage resources to achieve objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
