Site Director
A position designed to oversee, coordinate and manage; physical facilities, supervision of staff, community engagement, compliance of all local and federal laws governing child care and policy and all aspects of services and programming.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Associate's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) Director II, Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher, and Preschool Lead Teacher Certification .
Experience
- Four (4) years experience in supervision or in an administrative position preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years working in an infant & toddler program and/or preschool program setting required.
Qualities and Skills
- Mature problem-solving/judgment with a variety of decision-making techniques and negotiation skills
- Willingness to seek guidance and counsel where appropriate.
- Thorough knowledge of policies, regulations and reporting systems in regards to licensing of facilities
- Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in word processing and database skills.
- Clear and effective written and oral communication.
- Ability to build positive relationships both at the center and community level.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in a professional manner.
- A strong commitment to quality childcare programs.
- Work with the Operations Manager to guide specific training on an individual basis for staff, to ensure that safe, healthy developmentally appropriate activities are being implemented in the classroom and are properly documented.
- Assist teaching staff in involving the community in their classroom as appropriate.
- Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager with regards to all educational aspects to classrooms; assessments, outcomes, school readiness and family engagement as it relates to education.
- Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 119, Section 51A the Site Director is a mandated reporter and held to the statutory reporting requirements.
Starting Salary: $64,750.40 annually ($2,490.40 biweekly)
Full-Time: 40 hours per week (exempt position)
Full Year: 52 weeks per year
