Job Summary:
As a CEI Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) projects, ensuring compliance with FDOT standards and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing FDOT projects and a thorough understanding of Florida’s transportation standards and requirements. While seller-doer experience is a plus, it is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of CEI projects in accordance with FDOT standards, focusing on quality control, cost management, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Conduct regular project reviews and quality control checks to ensure compliance with FDOT guidelines and specifications.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, change orders, and other required project documentation to FDOT and stakeholders.
- Maintain strong client relationships and communication throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Identify potential project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- (Optional) Participate in business development and client outreach efforts to support the company’s growth objectives as a seller-doer, though this is not a requirement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing FDOT projects in a CEI role.
- Strong knowledge of FDOT standards, specifications, and requirements.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage teams and client relationships.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
