About the Job
We are currently seeking talented Vacuum Truck Drivers for our waste disposal company in Austin! This is a full-time, permanent position with significant earning potential.
Your primary responsibility is to safely operate a vacuum truck and maintain its systems. You are responsible for the transportation, loading and offloading of non-hazardous liquids at different strategic partners that we have locally in the greater Austin area.
This is a hands-on driving opportunity - we are seeking drivers that are comfortable working systems, physically assisting with tasks at target sites and facilities, and have familiarity with heavy equipment outside of driving. Drivers must be comfortable with customer interface, living in the solution, and taking action.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
• Follow removal instructions, and maintain compliance with all DOT, company and customer safety and operational policies and procedures
• Properly load and unload waste at various locations in a professional, courteous, timely, safe, and efficient manner
• Connect and disconnect hoses, operating pumps and valves for loading and unloading
• Ensure proper load securement of any hoses or other equipment
• Complete manifests, logs and other paperwork accurately and timely
• Must complete a daily pre-trip and post-trip using the electronic DVIR system
• Must adhere to company policies as it relates to loading non-hazardous materials ONLY
• Requires knowledge of all applicable DOT rules and regulations; and all job-related Company, Local, State and Federal requirements, to include OSHA safety rules and regulations
• Ability to be cross trained to operate other CMVs within license class and endorsements
Requirements
• MUST HAVE Current CDL Class A/B License + Tanker Endorsement
• Medically and Professionally qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle (including passing of drug screen, MVR, PSP, Clearinghouse & other background requirements)
• Must be capable of SAFELY operating Class 8 vehicle over rough terrain, poor road conditions and slick or wet roads
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 100 lbs. • Vision abilities required include close, distance and peripheral vision
• Repetitive movements that may include wrists, hands of fingers
• Frequently operate truck valves, hoses and connection tools requiring gross and fine motor skills
• Must possess ability to identify mechanical problems of assigned equipment, perform minor mechanical repair, and/or communicate such problems to necessary person for speedy repairs
• Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions; unwilling to cut corners
