CDL Truck Driver (Over The Road 3-4 Days Max) - Serious Candidates Only
POSITION SUMMARY:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Please Note: This position requires a minimum of 3 days Over-The-Road driving. Prefer candidates comfortable with 3 to 4 days maximum a week Over-The-Road driving. The Semi Truck Driver - Drives diesel-powered (manual or automatic) tractor-trailer combination, long distances or locally and delivers freight, parts, and materials or packages. Applies knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills while maneuvering vehicles in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways. Minimum pay starts at $250 daily + potential bonus paid at Company descretion and based on driver performance. Requires a commercial driver's license.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
- Aligns to Dispatcher every instructions without exceptions
- Understands and practices safe commercial truck driving techniques
- Keeps electronic logs and delivery compliance apps maintained.
- May assist workers in loading and unloading trucks.
- May drive tractor with trailer and Moffett (mounted forklift)
- May work as a member of two-person team driving tractor with sleeper bunk behind cab.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a commercial driver's license (Class A)
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2+ years of previous CDL-A experience driving a semi-trucks.
- Ability to work with Dispatch and follow strict instructions.
- Ability and flexibility to work overtime as necessary.
- Must have current commercial driver's license.
- Must have clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must have clean/clear background and drug report.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- May be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside.
- Occasionally exposed to whole body vibration when driving a truck.
- Sometimes exposed to sounds or noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
