CDL Class A Driver/Mobile Plant Operator
Overview
The CDL Class A Driver/Mobile Plant Operator is responsible for performing all functions necessary for the manufacturing of Emulsion. This position is for a secondary mobile plant operator/CDL truck driver, assist primary mobile plant operator in day-to-day task of emulsion production and transport AnSol in tanker from railyard to mobile plant. This position would act as primary mobile plant operator when primary operator is scheduled off.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Follow and understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Understanding of process flows and alarms in the Emulsion plant.
- Monitor the loading and unloading of products from trucks.
- Monitor chemical processes or systems using Human Machine Interface (HMIs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Monitor and record various process conditions, test results, and instrument readings.
- Work with various personnel to report, troubleshoot, and resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, or quality.
- Perform routine sampling of Emulsion and AnSol to ensure product quality.
- Manage the process of transferring AnSol into the Conditioning Tanks or into the Emulsion plant.
- Disposal and storage of Hazardous Waste.
- Monitor work areas to ensure optimal operating conditions.
- Assist in maintaining the Emulsion plant and equipment.
- Administer Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and permits.
- Complete and submit Work Orders in EAM.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Class A CDL w/ Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Haul tanker loads daily of AnSol from railyard to mobile plant
- Maintain units driven and follow all DOT regulations
Education/Experience/Requirements
- 21+ years of age (required for hazmat endorsement)
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Class A CDL w/ Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Possess basic math skills.
- Ability to wear and perform work in required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Able to read and comprehend operating procedures and batch sheets.
- Ability to recognize, investigate, and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Ability to effectively communicate with various team members.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, lift and carry up to 50Ibs, and operate valves.
Work Environment
This position will be exposed to all elements of the weather on the plant site.
