About the Job
Maximus is looking for a Remote Registered Nurse Supervisor to join out CDC Info Program. The Nurse Supervisor will supervise the daily activities of their direct reports and provide coaching, and development as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify training needs and development opportunities for direct reports.
- Discuss job performance concerns with direct reports to identify causes and issues and work closely with the HR department on resolving problems.
- Participate in the work of direct reports to facilitate productivity or to overcome difficult aspects of work.
- Evaluate direct reports' job performance and recommend appropriate personnel action.
- Perform evaluations of patients that includes evaluation of health status, strengths, care needs, and preferences.
- Instruct, demonstrate, observe skills and techniques of nursing staff and provide feedback to management. Raise issues of concern to management.
- Assist with training of new Nurses and refresher trainings as assigned for existing nurses.
- Identify task weakness in staff and take appropriate action to correct deficiency.
- Assist management in providing assessment guidance to team members.
Additional Duties
- Manage a team of nurses and oversee their daily work.
- Provide real-time coaching, career development, and plans for improved performance to direct reports
- Implement operational policies and procedures based on observations
- Observes and follows company policies and procedures and holds subordinates accountable for following company policies and procedures.
- Complete daily and weekly administrative deliverables, including progress reports, coaching summaries, and performance evaluations
- Meet performance KPIs as determined by senior leadership and client requirements
- Complete the examination of all forms and supporting documentation in accordance with established procedures and program rules for applications that are complex in nature and/or have a significant financial impact.
- Understand, interpret, determine, and document eligibility decisions using defined operating guidelines.
- Document findings and prepare audit files.
- Write detailed reports
- May review the work performed by peers and process applications with more complexity.
- Manage the end-to-end process from application intake through a final decision.
- Current RN Licensure.
- 2 years of RN experience to include prior experience supervising RN's.
- Ability to work with technology in the workplace.
- Knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of general professional nursing.
- Knowledge of state and agency laws and regulations governing general professional nursing practices
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Certified RN Licensure required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Five (5) years' clinical direct patient care experience required.
- Two (2) years of leadership experience required.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems that vary from established procedures and make sound decisions.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments including following through and keeping focused in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong organization, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical when responding to inquiries.
- Strong customer focus with ability to maintain customer rapport.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with focus on productivity and accuracy.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
Remote Worker Requirements:
- Private and Secure workspace from home
- Access to Wi-Fi, LAN (wired connection/ethernet) or both at home
- Internet provider that offers enough speed for multiple users without latency or lag? (i.e., housemate also WFH, kids playing video games or streaming shows, etc.)
- Internet download speed of 25mbps single/50mbps shared and 5mbps (10 preferred) upload or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net)
Minimum Requirements
- Current RN Licensure.
- 2 years of RN experience to include prior experience supervising RN's.
- Ability to work with technology in the workplace.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
