We are currently seeking an experienced senior level CCTV and Access Control Field Technician to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our clients and their complex integrated security systems.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting CCTV and access control systems of complex nature. The role will involve working closely with the Field team and clients to understand and support their security needs and implement and support for tailored solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV and access control systems
- IT and networking experience a plus
- Genetec experience a major plus
- Experience in electrified and mechanical locking hardware
- Knowledge of software configuration and troubleshooting skills for security systems
- Collaborate with clients to ensure systems are service and installed to their satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing systems.
- Mount and secure cameras, sensors, and control panels.
- Run cables and wire connections for power, data, and signal transmission.
- Test and debug systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Provide training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Degree in electronics preferred but not required.
- Degree in computer science preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years maintaining access control and CCTV systems on a commercial level
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting security equipment.
- Strong technical skills and ability to work independently.
- Full understanding of blueprints and how to interpret them
- Strong software skill set i.e., Microsoft,
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full understanding of networks and topology
- Full skill set in programming and setting up routers and switches
- Attention to detail and tidiness
- Team member attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
