Role - CCAR Treasury Risk Management Reporting Analyst
Rate - DOE
Duration - 5 Month Assignment (possible extension)
Location - Long Island City Queens NYC 11101
The CCAR Treasury Risk Management Reporting Analyst will join a team focused on preparing and reporting of the potential losses associated with the semi-annual CCAR capital planning and review process. This process is designed to test each firm's internal analysis of their capital adequacy and for this role, focuses on the companies Available for Sale (AFS) and Held to Maturity (HTM) Securities.
The primary responsibility of this analyst will be to support the process of generating stress results and the ongoing analysis of those results for explanations and accuracy. This also includes the review of input data and the consolidation of multiple model outputs into various presentations for management consumption.
Responsibilities will include:
• Production of the Other Comprehensive Income (OCI) and Other Than Temporary Impairment (OTTI) results
o Analysis of the results to ensure accuracy and provide main drivers decomposition
o Reporting of the key driver components for presentation and management use
• Provide ad-hoc support and analysis
• Assist with implementation of key controls and maintenance of associated process documentation
Qualifications:
The core strengths required for this position include but are not limited to:
• Demonstrated ability for problem solving and attention to detail
o Solid analytical skills (Bachelors in a concentration with analytic focus, e.g. business, finance, economics, management information systems, etc.).
o Three plus years of experience in the financial services industry; risk/business/finance experience preferred; understanding of the Treasury function and bonds is a plus
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong written and verbal communication required to effectively communicate and collaborate with the various CCAR and functional teams (e.g. risk, finance, analytics, technology)
• Self-motivated with an intellectual curiosity and interest in risk analysis
• Ability to work independently (some travel will be required)
• Familiarity with risk measurement and accounting methodologies (e.g. stress testing, risk capital, Basel) a plus
