Job Description
Bartenders are responsible for timely and accurate Guest service by attending to bar and liquor needs in a timely, helpful manner by guiding our Guests though the menu and all seasonal offerings. Practices responsible alcohol service in accordance with state and local law.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures that all Guests have an AWESOME Experience, and are EXCITED to come back.
- Possess proficient knowledge of the menu in order to explain our offerings to the Guests, answer any questions.
- Possess excellent knowledge of liquor and food quality and beverage preparation, and keep updated on new and revised beverage recipes.
- Follow alcohol awareness procedures.
- Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks; ensures beverages are prepared according to company recipes.
- Serves wine, liquor, beer and food to barguests following established company procedures to ensure that the financial transaction is correct and reflects all charges
- Serves beverages in a timely accurate manner.
- Ensure a clean and well-stocked bar.
- Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties.
- Secures all monies at the end of each shift.
- Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
- Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station appropriately.
Qualifications
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Guest relations are required
- Understanding of federal, state, and local liquor laws
- Bilingual language (preferred)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
- Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
- Handles multiple priorities; work under stress and exercise good judgment
- Work authorization
Physical Standards:
- Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
- Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift and bus pans, and trays frequently
weighing 25 pounds.
