Sodexo at The University of Denver is seeking an experienced Catering Operations Manager that has a passion for catering and is looking for an exciting and challenging new position. This is a very active, Hands-On role at a high profile Showcase Account. The Catering Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Catering and oversee a staff of roughly 15 employees.

Offering a competitive salary of $70,000 - $75,000, Relocation assistance and great career growth!What You'll Do
Reporting to the Catering Manager/Director you will:
- manage the day to day catering on campus - including faculty receptions/ meetings and student events, conferences and camps - averaging 15 - 25 events per day.
- be tasked with the oversight and execution of daily catering events, ranging from the traditional drop-off of coffee/refreshment service to upscale plated events.work and oversee multiple functions and setups.
- will also be responsible for supervising and working with the event staff, making sure all events are prepped and ready for the next day.
- have a flexible schedule to meet the business needs is a necessity.

What You Bring
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
- Experience with both casual and fine dining catering/banquet management - to include catering coordination, set up and execution for multiple events daily.
- Prior high volume catering oversight - Hands-On Higher Education catering experience preferred but not required.
- An ability to transform spaces and create an experience for guests.
- Valid Driver’s License is required for this role.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 yearsMinimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
