The Catering Bartender is a crucial member of our catering team, responsible for providing exceptional beverage service at events and functions. This role requires a skilled and personable individual who can create a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently preparing and serving a variety of drinks to guests. The Catering Bartender must exhibit professionalism and adaptability, ensuring that all beverage-related aspects of an event run smoothly and exceed the expectations of our clients.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18.50 - 22.50
For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

Responsibilities:- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and accommodating special requests.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of bars and beverage stations, ensuring they are stocked, clean, and organized.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed and keeping track of consumption during events.
- Adhere to all relevant alcohol service laws and regulations, including checking identification and refusing service when necessary.
- Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures, including handling and storing beverages and equipment correctly.
- Work closely with other catering staff members to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.
- Address any issues or concerns related to beverage service promptly and effectively, seeking assistance when needed.
- Encourage guests to try specialty drinks and upsell additional beverage options to enhance their experience.
- Stay informed about current beverage trends and industry developments, continuously improving skills and knowledge.
- Previous bartending experience, preferably in a catering or hospitality environment, with a strong understanding of beverage preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) may be required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Dedication to providing exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for guests.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to changing priorities and demands as needed.
- Strong team player who collaborates well with others and contributes to a positive work environment.
