About the Job
The primary responsibility of the In-Room Dining Cashier/ Order taker is to take guests orders over the phone in a quick and friendly manner. #zipcorporate
Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings
- Take the guest order, always trying to use suggestive/ upselling techniques
- Provide an expected delivery time for their order
- Place and log call backs for all IRD orders within appropriate time frame to ensure guest satisfaction
- Communicate daily specials and answer any questions guest may have in regard to the menu having to do with food and / or beverage
- Anticipate guests’ service needs by asking appropriate questions
- Speak to guests’ and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language
- Process all guest orders thru the POS terminal noting food modifiers for guest special requests
- Adhere to the Hard Rock cash handling policy
- Adhere to PCI compliance with regard to protecting guest information
- Protecting basic information from guest such as name, room numbers and credit card information.
- Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank
- Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures ( e.g blind drops)
- Transport bank to/from assigned workstation, following security procedure
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean as you go procedures
- Notify management of maintenance repair issues
- Consider the satisfaction of all guests by ensuring prompt, courteous and efficient service at all times
- Assist the department to drive guest satisfaction by providing consistent guest experiences
- Properly address guest requests and inquiries by following departmental verbal script
- Complete any additional reasonable requests by management
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
- Minimum six (6) months of related experience required
- Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
- Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements/standards listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must have a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work independently and willingness to learn.
- Must be able to work at a rapid pace, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Able to handle stress arising from management of operations and volume of work.
- Must be twenty one (21) years of age or older.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, and loud/noisy environment.
