Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude as they enter the store.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or point-of-sale systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments and issue receipts to customers.
- Answer customer questions and provide assistance with product inquiries, pricing, and promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking bags, cleaning registers, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist with restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining store appearance as needed.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using cash registers or point-of-sale systems.
