Cash Application Specialist - Cornerstone Building Brands

The Cash Application Specialist position will support the collection department. This role will ensure the Company receives payments for goods and services, and records these transactions accordingly, while securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and resolving any discrepancies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cash application – Process daily from lockbox / ach and credit cards daily to accounts
• Process Credit Memos for A/R and Warranty
• Performing account reconciliations
• Maintaining accounts receivable files and records
• Assists in monthly closing activities
• Investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries
• Assisting in general financial management and analysis
• Assist with other misc. A/R projects as needed

• HS Diploma or equivalent required. College Degree preferred
• At least 1 year of accounting experience in a professional setting required
• Detail oriented with strong analytical ability
• Ability to be well organized and able to multi-task; meet deadlines
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of pivot tables, data queries, etc.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information with discretion and professionalism
• Ability to effectively communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and employment levels within and outside the organization
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English language
• Self-motivated and able to get daily tasks completed with minimal supervision
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred

The US base pay range for this full-time position is $20.00 per hour to $23.00 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
