Our well-established engineering firm is seeking a dynamic, creative, and experienced Casework Engineer/Drafter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed, precise designs for custom furniture, cabinets, and millwork. This role will utilize the latest technology, including CNC machinery and software such as Microvellum and Mozaik. This full-time, permanent position promises a challenging, exciting opportunity to utilize and expand your skills in the engineering industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and draft detailed, accurate casework plans for custom furniture, cabinets, and millwork, ensuring all designs meet client specifications and industry standards.
2. Operate and maintain CNC machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety at all times.
3. Use software such as Microvellum and Mozaik to create and modify designs, improving efficiency and accuracy.
4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure designs are integrated and aligned with overall project objectives.
5. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
6. Continually update knowledge and skills in line with advancements in technology, software, and industry trends.
7. Ensure all work is completed on time and within budget, maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
2. Proven experience in designing and drafting casework for custom furniture, cabinets, and millwork.
3. Proficient in operating and maintaining CNC machinery.
4. Extensive experience with software such as Microvellum and Mozaik.
5. Excellent technical drawing skills, with a keen eye for detail and precision.
6. Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
8. A degree in engineering, design, or a related field is preferred.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
10. A proactive, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
