World Relief seeks a Case Specialist. This position will work with Dari and Pashto speaking immigrants. They will be responsible for facilitating the intake process, beginning at the point of the client's intake interview, including registration/intake, document verification, and the coordination, monitoring, and follow-up of client's short-term and long-term care. This position will provide short- and long-term case management, applications for financial assistance, children & youth support, employment assistance and other relevant services to eligible clients. In addition, referral and follow-up will be necessary to external services at other community agencies.
Role & Responsibilities

Client Services
- Conduct initial client intake to collect demographic information, gather client documentation, and assess program eligibility
- Distribute client information to appropriate administrative staff for file creation and establishment of database account
- Provide immediate assistance for one-time needs; follow-up on one-time needs
- Provide case management services including employment referrals, children & youth services, etc. and referrals to other internal and external services (e.g. ESL, immigration legal services, career pathways, etc.)
- Set-up initial appointments for client with appropriate internal staff; follow-up on appointments to ensure that client connects with appropriate staff
- Provide referrals to community agencies and organizations for clients seeking services that WRDA does not offer; follow-up on referrals to ensure that client was able to connect with the recommended resource
- Provide basic orientation to services that WRDA offers and assist client to enroll in services based on client needs
- Conduct required follow-up meetings with client and document all services and client interactions
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain timely and accurate client files, case notes, and reporting records
- Actively participate in department meetings, staff development opportunities, program trainings, community activities, and organizational events
- Maintain internal library of community organizations and agencies in order to make timely, appropriate client referrals; perform outreach to organizations to create partnerships as necessary
- Attend external community meetings to build relationships with community agencies
- Collaborate with volunteers and Volunteer Services staff to support the work of volunteers engaging with clients
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to communicate cross-culturally and adapt the approach to a service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics
- Ability to evaluate and respond to crises
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed, accurate records
- Highly self-motivated with good follow-through and problem-solving skills
- Experience providing case management services to Dari and Pashto speakers is strongly preferred
- BSW or lived immigrant experience preferred
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be needed

- Fluency in Dari, Pashto, and English is required
- Cross-cultural experience is required
- Basic MS Office skills
- Valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle required
