About The Position
**Job Title:** Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator **Job Specialty:** Trauma Care (Emergency Department, ICU, Floor) **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Day - 5x8 - Flexible between 9am - 5pm **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours per Week **Experience:** Minimum of 3 Years in Trauma, Emergency, or Intensive Care Nursing **License:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (within 90 Days) - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) (within 90 Days) - Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) (within 90 Days) - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) - Preferred - Trauma Nursing Core Course Instructor (TNCC) - Preferred **Must-Have:** - Skills in trauma, emergency, or ICU nursing - Experience with program coordination, data analysis, and quality clinical improvements - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively independently - Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel **Job Description:** - Coordinate the trauma performance improvement program in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager. - Collect, monitor, and track trauma performance improvement issues related to patient care and system development. - Monitor clinical processes, outcomes, and system issues related to the quality of care provided. - Develop quality filters, audits, and perform case reviews for quality improvement opportunities. - Assist with implementing evidence-based policies, procedures, protocols, and best practice models. - Review, analyze, and trend data outcomes to identify quality improvement opportunities. - Assist with meeting minutes and case review notes to meet accrediting agency requirements. - Work collaboratively with the trauma program manager to determine clinical educational needs. - Identify and assist with injury prevention activities. - Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and standards.
