About the Job
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Opening new files and making the initial client contact and continuing contact with clients on a regular basis.
- Fully investigating each case by gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents.
- Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, and maintain contact with insurance company.
- Manage client's medical care keeping in constant communication with client's and medical providers. Schedule and calendar medical appointments, explain procedures and related documentation to clients, and review medical records.
- Entering pertinent information into our database
- Continuously monitor case status, review medical records
- Organizing and maintaining case files, preparing files to be submitted to demand writers
- Maintain clients’ records by reviewing case notes, logging events, and monitoring progress.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Help prepare demand packages.
- Collect all possible information, evidence and documentation that will help the legal department build a case
- Sort and read through medical records, insurance correspondence, and settlement releases on behalf of clients
- Manage a caseload of 80+ files
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management and/or Team Leaders
- Meeting monthly, quarterly and yearly goals
Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years’ experience in similar roles.
