Carpenter - Peppermill & Western Village

The Carpenter is responsible for maintaining and repairing of existing appearance of property and fixtures, assist with in house remodels and work with outside contractors on larger projects.

Duties:

• Report to work timely, in proper uniform and appearance and maintain standard throughout the assigned shift.

• Must be capable of maintaining cosmetic esthetics of casino and upkeep of common areas.

• Have basic knowledge of the following skills:

• Understand blueprints and be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Assist senior craft technicians with repairs on gaming tables.
• Work with various woods, sheet rock, carpet, paints and laminate.
• Assist senior craft technicians with specialty gaming set up
• Work around electrical, water and gas feed lines.

• Maintain an orderly schedule of preventive maintenance in casino, restaurant, banquets and kitchen areas.

• Respond promptly to needs of company.

• Maintain a constant awareness of safety problems and report unsafe conditions and exposure of shift supervisor.

• Attending and successfully completing all internal training courses and requirements.

• Supports the company culture expectation on delivering 4 diamond service.

• Adherence to all departmental and company policies, including but not limited to

the attendance and appearance policy and the code of conduct.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent required.

• Three years in finish, rough or related carpentry trades.

• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

• Be organized, flexible and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines pressures.

• Must be able to maintain high levels of confidence.
