This position is located in Parsippany, NJ. All Candidates must live within 30 miles of Parsippany, NJ Our Working Foreman is a watchful, knowledgeable, and experienced construction expert capable of driving and maintaining the highest quality standards in each phase of our construction projects. They create and execute our 3SDs to ensure that all trade partners deliver the highest standards of workmanship in line with our vision.
Our Ideal Candidate is a seasoned professional in construction with a keen eye for details. This person understands the step-by-step intricacies of each trade, can quickly identify discrepancies, and is dedicated to pursuing excellence. They have experience ensuring our complex projects meet and exceed all required quality standards. Their communication is assertive, and they can confidently manage trade partners and proactively resolve issues to ensure we hit our project timelines with quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Performing as a member of a team.
- Carpentry tasks include interior framing of walls, windows, and doors, building decks and pergolas, installation of custom shelves, desks, cabinets, crown molding, and more. -Highlighting issues to properly communicate to managers.
- Representing the company with professionalism and high work ethics.
- Maintaining open and ongoing communication with the team.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience
- Knowledge of how to read and interpret plans, engineering, and specifications -Proficiency in framing, trim, window/door installation, siding, flooring, concrete, roofing,casework/cabinetry
Qualifications:
- Previous construction or building experience.
- Ability to use all necessary carpentry tools (all new hires must possess at least a basic carpentry tool set).
- Ability to understand tasks and obtain clarification as needed.
- Ability and willingness to openly communicate.
- Ability to work harmoniously as part of a team.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks.
- Willingness to follow directions and respond to changing assignments.
- Ability to work in attics and crawlspaces when needed
- May be required to pass a background check.
Salary and Benefits:
Full Time
Starting salary at 25.00 - $35.00 an hour, commensurate with experience.
