As a Carpenter, you will work alongside other carpenters to perform a variety of responsibilities related to rough and finish carpentry. Many of our projects are unique, if you are looking for variety in your career, Iconica is for you.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Installing crown moldings, base, casing, handrails, and other finish work using wood, steel, plastics, and composites.
- Installing cabinets and countertops using wood, laminates, and composites.
- Installing and trimming doors, sidelights, and windows.
- Installing hollow metal doors, frames, and commercial door hardware (panic devices, closers, commercial locksets).
- Fabricating and installing stairs, walls, ceilings, and roofs using wood, steel, metal, plastics, and composites.
- Fabricating and installing steel stud partition walls and soffits.
- Performing layout and verifying the accuracy of structures using a laser level and/or digital transit.
- Coordinating with subcontractors and superintendents to ensure tasks are completed to schedule.
- Following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe job site.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
- Experience in stick built and prefabricated wood construction.
- Experience in interior (light gauge) metal stud framing.
- Experience in commercial finish carpentry and commercial door hardware.
- Experience operating rough terrain forklifts and aerial lifts.
- Knowledge of construction and carpentry equipment and tools (including power tools).
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Dedication to job site safety.
- Experience in layout and job set-up.
- Effective working individually and within team environments.
- High initiative and passion for learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).
