Our company is a leader in apartment and condominium rehabilitation, with many of the largest management companies in Portland/Vancouver as our clients.
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead our construction team in delivering high-quality carpentry work. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of carpentry techniques, ensuring projects are completed on time and to specifications. This role requires effective management of resources, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to quality control.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of crews on job sites.
- Manage projects from start to finish including all aspects of quality, workflow, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage crew and subcontractors from site.
- Perform a variety of carpentry work which could include framing, siding & trim replacement, window and door installation, decks, detailed flashing, dry rot, rain screens and roofing.
- Oversee the quality control process to ensure all work meets industry standards.
- Understand plans, details, specifications, project manuals, and other pertinent documents.
- Accurately read and interpret plan specifications; ensure proper selection and installation of materials
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior carpenters.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction practices.
- Experience managing large crews and coordinating subcontractors.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes related to construction projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients/customers & coworkers
Qualifications:
- Must have construction experience in the following areas: siding and trim replacement, window and door installation, a working knowledge of building codes and standards, decks, framing, roofing.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Cooperative and team-oriented individual.
- Be willing and able to have reliable transportation to travel to multiple job sites in and around Portland/Vancouver area
- Must have your own basic tool bag tools
- Capable of working effectively amongst diverse teams and manage multiple tasks at once

- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and have an insurable driving record.

- Compensation: Starting wage $27-$30 per hour
