CARPENTER 4 - Joeris General Contractors LLC

Reports to: Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Hourly

Normal Working Hours – Jobsite Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, plus additional hours as required
to complete project duties

Position Objective: Responsible for the construction, erection, installation, and repairs to structures using carpenter’s
hand and power tools. Conforms to local building codes. May be asked to move to different jobsite locations over the
course of employment.

• Understand and adheres to all safety policies, holds coworkers accountable for unsafe behaviors.
• Attends semi-annual safety meetings and assists with communicating safety updates.
• Layout for wall and roof blocking
• Lead installation of wall and roof blocking crew
• Installation of misc. specialties to include by not limited to toilet accessories, marker and tack boards, etc.
• Installation of doors and hardware
• Familiarity with Trimble Equipment for site layout
• Layout of walls, doors, windows, etc.
• Framing and sheetrock installation
• Ceiling framing, ceiling grid and ceiling component installation.
• Coordinating and effectively communication with subcontractors.
• Understanding and enforcement of QA/QC standards
• Additional duties as required, including all duties of a Carpenter 1, 2, and 3.

• 3-5 years of commercial construction experience is preferred
• Previous completion of OSHA 30 hour training is preferred
• Previous experience leading teams preferred
• Carpentry apprenticeship education a plus

• Mastery of Plan Reading for ARCH/STRUC/CIVIL/MEP
• Shop Drawing and Submittal Understanding
• Basic understanding of lean concepts & pull planning
• Read and interpret hardware schedule
• Basic knowledge of digital platforms (PlanGrid, TouchPlan, etc.)
• Must be proficient in operating and performing maintenance on light construction equipment to include but not
limited to skid steer, fork lift, aerial lift, scissor lift, trencher, compactor, compressor, generator
• Possesses all skills required of a Carpenter 1, 2 and 3
