What we're looking for: Career Services Advisor at our Fresno Campus.
Summary: In relation to contributing to SJVC's mission and goals, under the direct supervision of the Regional Career Services Director, the Career Services Advisor provides numerous services that assist students and graduates in obtaining employment. The three major functions of Career Services are Placement, Externship, and the Career Academy while serving both employers and students. Advisors work with students prior to graduation in order to prepare them for practical application of their skills and entering into the job market. Sales standards and goals are set for every function of the Career Services Department in order to achieve placement outcomes through our activity-based management system.
What We Offer: The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $24.00 - $28.50 per hour. Our benefits program for full-time colleagues includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as flexible spending and health savings accounts. You will accrue two to three weeks of paid vacation your first five years with eleven paid holidays. We offer state-compliant sick leave, disability insurance, and company-paid life insurance. As a Career Services Advisor you will assist graduates in securing education-related employment through developing their employment search skills. Daily responsibilities of a Career Services Advisor include making outbound calls and emails to employers to tell them about our graduates, community outreach, scheduling interviews, and ensuring placement of graduates. This position is supported and supervised by the Regional Career Services Director, campus, and regional teams.
The Career Services Advisor is expected to travel to and from campuses and employer sites.

Education and/or Experience - Associate's Degree; three years of job development or placement experience, preferably in an educational setting. Required degree(s) must be from institutions accredited by recognized U.S. accrediting agencies. Degrees from non-U.S. institutions are recognized only if equivalence has been established and provided.
