Entech Staffing is seeking a Career Placement Counselor for an Educational Institution in Flint, MI. This is a full-time, temp/contract position. Pay Rate: $18.09/hr

Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to help students experience success through achieving their educational and career goals. This position is responsible for providing proactive advice and student enrollment for students with declared programs; promoting academic and/or financial independence skills to students, making referrals to other appropriate program or department representatives, external agencies; and other related duties as assigned. Individual will also support and be the lead for providing wrap-around support services to currently enrolled students.

Requirements:

• Associates or equivalent combination of education and experience in business/industry, human services, education or a related field.

• One (1) year of professional experience in a related role in education, human services, or business.

• Experience with administering assessment and developing individual development plans.

• Must possess good organizational skills and be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to appropriately use and demonstrate proficiency using MS Word and Excel, including web-based software and resources.

• Previous experience working with grant or performance-based programs with a record of successfully meeting outcomes and metrics.

• Ability to work with diverse populations, including adult learners, ESL students, and immigrant and migrant populations.

• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
