Position Summary:
The Sonographer II demonstrates an expanding knowledge base in the management of diagnostic testing for specific types of patient populations. The Sonographer II applies more in-depth clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills. Demonstrates an increased capacity to problem-solve through application of testing modalities. Demonstrates and completes unit-specific Competent Clinical Pathway. Must be a graduate of an approved diagnostic medical sonography program with minimum of one-year experience; additional clinical experience or credentials may be considered in lieu of some education. Must have specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI. Current BLS certification, AHA is also required. The ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required.
The Sonographer III demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the management of diagnostic testing. Demonstrates focused critical thinking, integrates multi-system implications and provides anticipatory observation and management for predictable events. Demonstrates interdisciplinary collaboration and an outcome-oriented approach to care. Must be a graduate of an approved diagnostic medical sonography program with a minimum of five years’ experience; additional clinical experience or credentials may be considered in lieu of some education. Must have specialty registry through ARDMS or CCI. Current BLS certification, AHA is also required. Dual registries preferred (ex. ARDMS: Pediatric Echo, Fetal Echo, Adult Echo OR CCI: Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS). The ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required.
Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift, On-Call is required, which can include weeknights & weekends.
***This position is based at the main campus hospital and outpatient care center in Saint Petersburg, FL. There is occasional travel required to additional outpatient care centers in the region. These centers are located approximately 30-45 minutes from the main campus; travel time may vary depending on traffic. If travel is required, time and mileage will be compensated outside of normal time and travel to main campus.
Salary Range: Minimum 32.71 per hour - Maximum 57.58 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
