Virtus Healthcare Staffing is engaged in a search for a Manager of Cardiac Vascular Laboratory on behalf of our partner, a regional medical center in Westminster, MD. We are seeking a dedicated professional with strong cardiovascular expertise and leadership skills to join their team.

Position Summary
The Cardiovascular Lab Manager is responsible for performing routine and specialized cardiovascular procedures as prescribed by a physician and in accordance with department protocol. Reporting to the Executive Director of Cardiovascular Services, the Manager will utilize leadership skills to coordinate patient care within the department and act as the primary liaison between the unit, medical staff, and other departments. The role includes delegating responsibilities, facilitating communication among team members, and advising and teaching other Associates.

Key responsibilities also include managing departmental supplies, overseeing capital and operational budgets, collaborating with the director on operational improvements, and implementing performance improvement initiatives within the cardiovascular team. The Cardiovascular Lab Manager ensures compliance with departmental standards and promotes effective communication across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized cardiovascular procedures as directed.
• Oversee patient care activities, coordinate with medical staff, and act as unit liaison.
• Delegate responsibilities, facilitate team communication, and mentor Associates.
• Work with the director on operational changes and customer service enhancements.
• Manage departmental supplies and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director.
• Ensure departmental standards compliance and implement performance improvement initiatives.
• Display strong problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience: 2-4 years of cardiovascular and interventional experience required, with a preference for supervisory experience.
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • At least one of the following: ARDMS RDCS or RVT certification, or CCI RCS or RVS certification
