Responsibilities:
1. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
2. Utilize advanced imaging technology to capture detailed images of the heart and blood vessels, assisting physicians in diagnosing cardiac conditions.
3. Maintain and operate complex medical imaging equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols.
4. Provide exceptional patient care, implementing the AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank You) strategy to enhance patient communication and satisfaction.
5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, radiologists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. Participate in emergency on-call duties as required.
7. Keep abreast of advancements in interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring continuous professional development.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Rad Tech or in a similar role.
2. A valid certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
3. Extensive experience in interventional radiology procedures, particularly in a cardiac cath lab setting.
4. Proficiency in using digital imaging technology and related software.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of AIDET principles and a commitment to exceptional patient care.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical procedures to patients and their families.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
8. A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
