Cardiac Care - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit - Nurse Manager, Level V - University of Rochester

Responsibilities Seeking dynamic individual to work in a collaborative team leading the operational activities of the 22 bed Cardiac ICU. The CICU includes the adult acute circulatory shock program and the adult ICU transport team. Responsibilities include oversight of nursing care delivery in a fast paced premiere center for the care of a wide spectrum of patients with cardiac related needs including heart transplant, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and a wide variety of mechanical assistive devices. Key performance measures include advocacy for patients and staff, maintaining nursing accountability, promoting staff engagement in decision making, fostering a collaborative care team and maintaining appropriate learning opportunities. The candidate must be flexible, possess excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. ICU leadership experience and Adult Cardiac Critical Care experience including advanced therapies and acute shock clinical experience is required. **Qualifications** Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
