Summary of Position:
The Payments Analyst will support the Treasury department with focus on supporting strategic initiatives and analyzing costs of acceptance for electronic payments. This position will drive insights and key trends within the organization. Specifically looking for a great mind that can analyze key trends in Payments and be the analytics thought partner. The individual will perform fiscal period end reconciliations and analytics, as well as assist in special projects as required.

The Payments Analyst will support the Treasury department with focus on supporting strategic initiatives and analyzing costs of acceptance for electronic payments. This position will drive insights and key trends within the organization. Specifically looking for a great mind that can analyze key trends in Payments and be the analytics thought partner. The individual will perform fiscal period end reconciliations and analytics, as well as assist in special projects as required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and research variances on a daily basis as it relates to the Prepaid Cards and Ecommerce transactions and play a key role in working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Testing and validation of new prepaid card products and payment initiatives prior to release of projects to production environment.
- Perform period end financial closings, reconciliations, and budget to actual analytics and assist with treasury budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Develop an understanding for the overall card payment process and prepaid card purchase process and functionality in order to deliver various metrics.
- Monitor and analyze monthly credit card fees to ensure billing accuracy and optimally manage business relationships.
- Help create visualizations and dashboards to trend/track metrics.
- Special projects assigned by Assistant Treasurer or Payments Manager.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- 2 - 4 years of relevant accounting and analytical experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products.
- Strong analytical skills required in order to assemble analytical models and work with large data sets.
- Good communication skills with strong attention to details, including regular follow up on action items.
- Ability to build and manage business relationships
- Ability to work in fast paced team environment, handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
