As a Foreman and Operator with The Dock Experts, LLC, you will play a critical role in ensuring project deliverables are executed within budget, quality, and safety standards while complying with all regulatory requirements. You will oversee and manage crews, perform construction labor on daily job site tasks, and contribute to the planning, coordination, and successful execution of all our marine construction projects from inception to completion. Your leadership will directly impact your compensation, with opportunities for additional earnings based on project success. You will also collaborate closely with customers, permitting and office teams, inspectors, and subcontractors as needed.

- Site Prep: Prepare the construction site each day, including cleaning, organizing, and setting up materials, tools, equipment, and other necessary resources.
- Jobsite Cleanliness: Ensure construction equipment and tools are clean, organized, and stored properly after each use. Dispose of debris and waste materials appropriately at the end of each day.
- Time, Resource, and Team Management: Enforce scheduled work activities with the construction crew to ensure timely completion of all active and new projects.
- Budget Management: Adhere to project budgets and employ cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and report on inventory levels of materials, equipment, and tools, addressing any shortages promptly.
- Safety & Compliance: Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment, strictly adhering to and enforcing all relevant safety and regulatory work practices.
- Risk Management: Identify and address any unsafe work conditions, practices, or violations promptly, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
- Customer Focus: Deliver work that meets or exceeds customer expectations regarding both functionality and aesthetics.
- Expertise: Utilize industry expertise to solve problems and ensure adherence to project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Communication & Professionalism: Maintain open, frequent, and professional communication with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and labor crews throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality & Inspection: Uphold a standard of excellence, ensuring all jobs comply with contractual documents, industry standards, legal and code requirements, and The Dock Experts' standards of work.

- Determine project controls and enforce a cadence of inspection to ensure compliance with quality control standards
- Proactively anticipate and plan for common scenarios that arise before they become an issue.
- Accountability: Provide daily updates on project status, timelines, and cost adherence, and communicate any necessary planning adjustments.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor work crews, effectively delegating tasks, reinforcing training and compliance, and promoting productivity and development.
- Team Player: Perform additional duties related to marine construction as assigned by immediate supervision, including operating tools, equipment, and machinery.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General knowledge of construction operations and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and a "safety-first" approach.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor in various weather conditions and environments.
- Active, valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with hand tools such as power drills, hammers, and saws.
- Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Willing to train people with some experience if they have a positive attitude.
- Prior experience in marine construction or a related field.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- NCCCO Certification.
- Six-Pack Captain's License and/or 50-Ton Master Captain's License.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
- OSHA Rigger & Signaling Certification.
