Capital Markets Senior Financial Analyst (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote) (Charlotte, NC, US, 28277) - BrightHouseFinancial

How you’ll contribute:
As a Capital Markets Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll be responsible for financial oversight of Brighthouse Financials’ Institutional Spread Margin Business (ISMB) and Securities Lending program. This position requires frequent interaction with the Investments front office team that manages the spread lending programs in addition to business partners across Treasury, Finance & Accounting, Actuarial, Operations and other Lines of Business. Additionally, you’ll gain exposure to various Corporate Treasury functions focused on liquidity and capital markets.

In this role, you’ll get to:

• Produce management reporting detailing key GAAP and statutory earnings drivers and balance sheet composition by product type.
• Provide oversight of capital, liquidity and asset/liability impacts
• Develop projections used in the Company’s financial planning and free cash flow projections.
• Support execution of Funding Agreement Backed Notes issuances, including coordination of dealer due diligence updates, investor marketing presentations, etc.
• Execute borrowings and manage collateral needs with the Federal Home Loan Bank and Farmer Mac.
• Manage various financial reporting and compliance deliverables.
• Monitor liquidity and collateral needs and resources across all Brighthouse Financial legal entities and collaborate with various business areas across the company to recommend and execute liquidity optimization actions.

We’re looking for people who have:

• 1-3 years of experience of experience with increasing responsibilities in the areas of corporate finance and liquidity risk, preferably at a financial institution.
• Undergraduate degree in related discipline required; MBA, CPA and/or CFA preferred.
• Professional depth in core areas of required expertise, such as capital markets transactions, investments, and liquidity management. 
• Experience in corporate financial planning and analysis, corporate accounting, and/or treasury function preferred.
• Ability to manage relationships with business partners up, down, and across the organization.
• Ability to carry out initiatives independently and drive results with limited oversight.
• Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
