About the Job
What you get to do in this role:
- We are an Operations team that is responsible for the capacity of Client customers.
- Manage, monitor, and manipulate the server farm behind Client cloud.
- Work directly on/with the servers to enable and optimize capacity utilization for Client customer base.
- Enhance processes and tools necessary to simplify and provide consistent project execution.
- Provide proactive management and innovation to ensure 100% success of ServiceNow cloud automation.
Required
- Inter,te to deep understanding of service and components of enterprise cloud capacity operations.
- Proactively monitor and maintain site-wide capacity demands.
- Experience in fast-paced operations and engineering environments.
- Understanding of database concepts with specific experience with MySQL/Postgres.
- Experience in DNS/DHCP and PXE boot kickstart process and bare metal/rack deployments
- Linux System Admin skills preferably working knowledge of Centos and RedHat.
- Develop bash or Python scripts to perform repetitive operation tasks.
- Basic understanding of enterprise-class server hardware eg. Dell.
- Basic understanding of storage concepts such as NFS, and iSCSI.
- Collaborate with partner teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
- Understanding of backup policies and restore concepts.
- Team collaboration and fit are essential.
Preferred
- Basic understanding of ServiceNow asset management.
- Storage configuration concepts configuration and experience.
- Inter,te to advanced network troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of Puppet configuration management.
- Good to have API development, Ansible, Python, Linux shell scripting, and PowerShell.
