Cannabis Infusions Technician
Infusion technicians are key members of the state-of-the-art Temescal Wellness manufacturing facility. Associates in the department produce cannabis-infused products that consistently meet state testing protocol, at scale within the allotted time. Effective technicians must have a strong entrepreneurial and ownership mindset and a desire to make a deep impact and contribute to the continued success of a rapidly growing cannabis business. Effective team members communicate clearly with teammates, supervisors, and managers.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day cannabis-infused product manufacturing in our production cannabis facility
- Follow production schedule, ensuring production deadlines and targets are met, producing cannabis-infused products such as fruit chews, chocolates, tinctures, capsules, & cartridges
- Execute all SOPs and compliance initiatives within the Infusion Department, ensuring full and complete compliance.
- Manage and maintain inventory logs and batch formulations, adhering to state rules and regulations.
- Abide by SOPs
- Operate all infusion equipment in a safe and compliant manner, including but not limited to all heat sources, chocolate tempering machines, blenders, melting drums, automation, etc.
- Work directly with the Infusion Lead(s) and Manufacturing Manager to infuse various edible products
- Take part in designing and improving recipes/ SOPs
- Measure and combine ingredients, as well as prep the workplace for next-day operations
- Handle all utensils and equipment with sanitation methods for food handling.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain all items, equipment, and workstations as needed.
- Operate with Monthly Make List in mind
- Work at max capacity to fulfill quota; allotting time for clean-up
- Relay details to Infusions Lead(s) or Manager
- Maintain equipment, including updating logs
- Convert concentrate into specified units with precision
- Create quarantine packages after batch completion
- Properly store cannabis in the vault
- Retain testing samples for third-party lab
- Interpret testing lab results
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years old
- Must have driver’s license
- Background and experience in food production, laboratory work, or other related fields
- General knowledge of computer operating systems and applications including Excel
- Mastery of, or willingness to learn, various software programs, including especially cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Calendar, Drive).
- Ability to visually examine products for quality and signage/labeling accuracy
- Ability to perform under pressure to meet production goals while also strictly adhering to all necessary sanitation procedures to ensure the quality of our medicine
- Efficiency with Formulation Calculator, and other dosing calculations
- Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work in temperature-regulated rooms while wearing proper PPE
- A mastery of attention to detail and organizational skills in order to manage multiple, concurrent work streams
- General knowledge of computer operating systems and applications including Excel and GSuite
- A passionate disposition towards cannabis and taking care of other people
- Proactive and responsive, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Punctual with willing for overtime
- Encouraging, a positive attitude at work
- Can pass criminal background checks typically required by state cannabis regulations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, cutting, and fine manipulation
- Ability to multi-task with excellent follow-through skills
- High energy, enthusiasm, and the willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
- Proficient in METRC preferred but not required

- Competitive hourly wage of $18
