Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Services Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various functions within health services, clinical services, and the delivery of clinical care. From initial member triage to managing referrals and prior authorizations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless care coordination and support for our members and providers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for providers or members regarding medical, behavioral, or clinical services and benefits.
Review and process fax requests, electronic referrals, and calls for medical or clinical services.
Utilize phone systems and electronic systems to gather necessary information, assess urgency, and determine eligibility.
Collaborate with internal teams to solve complex problems and ensure timely responses to requests.
Document call history and enter relevant data into computer systems accurately.
Communicate benefit and authorization information to members and providers effectively.
Schedule appointments and provide necessary information to facilities staff to assist members.
Stay updated on system changes and incorporate them into daily work routines.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
1+ years of call center experience.
Ability to work full-time during normal business hours, with occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the health insurance industry.
Telecommuting Requirements:
Must have a dedicated work area with information privacy.
Must reside in an area with access to a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection.
