Calyx Metrology Laboratory, a subsidiary of Scientific Safety Alliance, LLC, is a medical test equipment calibration laboratory. Our professional technicians work with Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), Clinical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering departments in many of the most prestigious healthcare systems in the mid-Atlantic states, Northeast, and Midwest. Our clients trust us to verify the accuracy of precise test instrumentation and tools they use to ensure the integrity of critical care medical devices and technology used to diagnose, monitor, and treat patients.
We intend to grow by retaining and gaining market share. This position, therefore, offers considerable growth potential and requires an enthusiastic learner with an uncommon combination of technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and marketing abilities.
The position is based in State College, PA and requires approximately 75% overnight travel during the weekdays only.
The primary responsibility of the Calibration Process Manager will be to build strong relationships with customers ranging from technicians to executive level professionals. You will accomplish this by consistently demonstrating a combination of interpersonal and technical skills that instill customer confidence.
We will expect you to represent CML as the most professional, value-added service provider available.

Technical Skills Desired (estimated training period: 6 months)
- Ability to demonstrate basic math skills that involve making calculations of percentages, amounts, sizes or other measurements
- Ability to read, comprehend and precisely follow written documentation
- Ability to calibrate, troubleshoot and repair various biomedical test equipment, O-scopes, electronic test analyzers, and electro-mechanical instrumentation efficiently and effectively. Knowledge of the physics relevant to these instruments includes: electronics, physiological, air flow, liquid flow, mass, dimensional, temperature, humidity, sound, light and pressure measurements
- Ability to develop and document calibration procedures and test methods, as necessary.
