Overview:
The Café Manager provides direction, leadership, and hands on support to the café team to ensure smooth operations of the Queen Bee Café. This position summary is not all-inclusive and represents general position responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Passion for providing exceptional service; connect with customers, learn names and food/beverage preferences, prioritize customers over tasks, provide service recovery when needed
- Prepares food and beverages quickly and according to recipe; correctly customizes orders as requested
- Maintains proper inventory control of products; day-dots all applicable products, rotates using FIFO method, tracks waste as needed
- Describes product details to customers and suggests items as appropriate to increase sales
- Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, work areas and seating areas
- Ensures proper functioning of equipment
- Communicates positively
- Manages time effectively and upholds attendance and punctuality standards
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness/ability to work weekends, holidays and events to meet business needs
- Handles cash correctly and accurately manages till; rings in products correctly
- Utilizes tools and systems provided by management to effectively complete job requirements
- Takes initiative to complete all tasks and ensure customer service standards are met
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Provides recommendations to regional manager on how to improve store operations
- Places orders as needed and is knowledgeable on all inventory standards. Processes invoices accordingly / as needed.
- Open and closes store according to standard
- Hire, onboard, train, develop and retain staff
- Develop and execute comprehensive training plans for the team.
- Coach team according to policies and procedures
- Reward, motivate and provide performance feedback
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
- Schedule according to the needs of the business to maintain high customer and staff satisfaction while meeting financial expectations
- Manage all aspects of P&L to ensure café meets or exceeds revenue targets and expense budgets while maintaining the highest of standards
- Build upon Queen Bee's branding to continually improve the quality of food and beverage offerings
- Leads catering orders/events for the café and Queen Bee brand

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills (at least 3 years previous management experience, directly managing teams of 5 or more)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge in all areas of beverage and food preparation and production
- Knowledge and adherence to local health department, OSHA, WA State Liquor Board and other regulatory agency guidelines
- Capable of reading, communicating and producing published recipes
- Knowledge of industry-standard inventory practices
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with technology (POS Systems, Internet, Order Systems, etc.)
- Food Handler Card
- MAST Alcohol Server Permit
- Outstanding leadership and communication
- Ability to quickly build positive relationships both internally and externally as appropriate
- Collaborate and create buy-in with the store team – lead, coach and motivate team to be highly effective
- Ability to impact and manage change quickly and effectively
Min Salary:USD $30.00/Hr.Max Salary:USD $38.00/Hr.
