About the Job
Required Qualifications
- must be at least 20 years old
- valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Nutrition or Business Management or comparable experience in Hospitality management or Culinary field food service industry leadership or equivalent experience
- three years management/supervisory experience in Hospitality management or Culinary field
- ServSafe or equivalent Food Safety Manager Certification
- must have a willingness to work a variable work schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours
- ability to be on call 24 hours/7 days a week
- ability to travel with overnight stays
- knowledge of food service operations
- knowledge of FDA Food Codes and the Code of Federal Regulations concerning food safety
- knowledge of proper inventory and ordering systems
- strong managerial and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate associates
- ability to show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
- ability to be flexible, creative, and resourceful
- ability to handle and prioritize a variety of tasks and responsibilities
- ability to remain calm in a crisis situation
- ability to demonstrate organizational and time management skills including the ability to multitask

- knowledge of Publix hiring processes and Distribution processes for selecting hourly associates

- basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and
- ability to be exposed to highly confidential information and matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- four years management/supervisory experience in Hospitality management or Culinary field
- Advanced Culinary or Nutrition Certification
- have knowledge of OSHA regulations
- have knowledge of SAP
- have knowledge of Café Database and Food Processor Nutrition Analysis Software
