Gannett Fleming is seeking a passionate and skilled CADD Technician / Designer to join our Highway/Roadway group at our El Paso, TX location. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and Develop drawing folder structures, file naming conventions and drawing revision/versions.
- Set up client’s templates, standards and specific project instructions.
- Set up the initial sheet templates to be used for all disciplines.
- Set up and manage the base files and reference drawings (surveying) for use of CAD drafters.
- Assist in the preparation and review of drawing packages to be submitted to clients for third party reviews, reports, or submissions.
- Establish and maintain good communications and relationships with clients and develop key contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide proactive coordination between disciplines.
- Assist all disciplines with design changes based on your expertise.
- Incorporating and compiling multiple sub-plans/designs into consolidated master plan.
- Assist with the quality review (QC/QA) of CAD files and submission drawings
Requirements:
- Technical degree or equivalent from an accredited technical college.
- Requires 0 -5 years of demonstrated relevant experience in CADD on Roadway / Highway projects
- Experience in CADD required, MicroStation preferred
- Ability to communicate design and planning issues to internal and external stakeholders including project team, and department management.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and Word, as well as computer skills such as networking, hardware/software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting is desired.
