Job Overview
As a CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and managing detailed CAD drawings and schematics for AV systems, helping to ensure that their cutting-edge residential and commercial projects are executed with precision. You will collaborate closely with project managers and technical teams to ensure seamless installations and contribute to the design and layout of custom automation, lighting, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed CAD drawings, schematics, and layouts for AV systems, including audio, video, lighting and network designs
- Collaborate with project managers, system designers, and installers to ensure designs meet technical and project specifications
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to integrate AV systems into construction plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including revisions and as-built drawings
- Stay current with AV industry trends, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulations and client expectations
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD or similar design tools
- 2-3 years of experience in AV system design, preferably in residential or commercial integration
- Familiarity with AV systems, including audio, video, lighting, and networking platforms like Control4, Crestron, Lutron, or Savant
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality results

Compensation
$63,000-$78,000 Based on Experience
