CAD Drafter - Telecom - Selectek, Inc.

Selectek has a telecommunications firm that has multiple opportunities for Telecom Drafters in Kansas City, KS. The focus of the role will be transforming initial rough product designs into working documents using computer aided design (CAD). Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. The role will collaborate with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs.

Required:

• 2+ years of telecom or utility drafting with AutoCAD

Preferred:

• Degree in CAD/GIS/Civil
• 1+ year of CAD for Telecom or Utilities
• QGIS experience

Sponsorship: None
Pay range: $20/hour - $25/hour ($41,600 - $52,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment: 6 months temp to direct
Pay method when direct: Hourly eligible for OT pay
Location of job: Overland Park, KS
Hours and shift: Monday - Friday, Flexible start time as long as working 8 hours a day
Work from home: Yes, employees will be expected to work within the office during the first 6 months or so while they are training and learning about the company. Once the employee is up and running at the expected rate (meeting quotas), they will have the option to work from home or a mix of home and office. They do need to know that there will still be times or circumstances where they will be required to come into the office so they will need to still be in the Greater KC Area.

Work attire: Casual. Jeans and T shirts are fine as long as they are not offensive, stained, etc
