The Scenic CAD Designer is responsible for designing and providing technical solutions, creating technical specifications, and developing safe and cost-effective construction methods based on design concepts and visual information This position reports directly to the CAD Supervisor

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Create technical drawings for shop build.

• Draft detailed assembly/installation drawings

• Research materials and hardware required for construction.

• Actively communicate with construction team

• Work closely with the production team to meet both budget and scheduling goals.

• Monitor shop standards and quality control.

Qualifications:

• BA or BFA preferred. Work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

• Solid knowledge of scenic fabrication practices; shop fabrication experience a plus.

• Proficiency with Vectorworks, MS Office required.

• Experience with automation and electronics a plus.

• Entertainment and Events Industry experience preferred (Live Events, Sporting Events/Venues, Theater)

• The position requires a background check and drug screening
