CAD Design Manager – Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced CAD Design Manager with a strong background in Autodesk Inventor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the creation of mechanical design drawings and manage the CAD program for industrial equipment projects. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will ensure design standards are met while fostering a data-driven approach to project execution. This role also involves mentoring a team of design engineers and ensuring consistent, high-quality drawings are delivered on time.

About the Role:

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Develop and enforce CAD standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high-quality output.
• Manage CAD workload among design engineers and monitor project progress.
• Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud and other tools to gather project data, monitor KPIs, and ensure adherence to design standards.
• Generate reports and provide insights to management, recommending process improvements.
• Recruit, train, and mentor CAD professionals, and assist with performance reviews and career development.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to understand project requirements and deliver effective CAD support.
• Foster collaboration between CAD teams across multiple locations to maintain consistency.
• Define CAD scope, timelines, and deliverables with project managers, ensuring proper allocation of resources.
• Provide technical support for CAD software and stay current with industry trends.

Who You Are:

• BS Degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years in CAD Management, overseeing design engineers and designers.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with 3+ years of leadership experience.

Extra Credit:

• Proficiency with Autodesk Vault, Plant 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Advanced Steel, and SolidWorks.

• This is a temp to perm opportunity!
• The starting rate for this position is $45.00-$57.00 depending on prior experience.
