Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our efforts in selling cabinetry products to contractors and builders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, a deep understanding of the construction and cabinetry industry, and the ability to develop new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to target contractors, builders, and construction firms within the assigned territory.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients, including contractors, builders, and developers.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and prospect new business opportunities in the construction industry. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to expand the client base.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of cabinetry products, industry trends, and competitor offerings to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
- Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Present cabinetry solutions to clients, addressing their unique needs, specifications, and budget requirements. Lead contract negotiations and finalize sales deals.
- Project Management Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, design teams, and the production department to ensure smooth project execution, timely deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
- Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Track and report on sales metrics, project pipelines, and customer feedback. Provide regular updates to senior management on progress toward sales goals.
- Market Research: Monitor market trends, industry demands, and competitor activities to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Team Leadership & Training: Manage, mentor, and motivate the sales team (if applicable), ensuring they meet performance targets and stay updated on product offerings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in selling construction or cabinetry products to contractors and builders.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry products, materials, and installation processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
