Currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented commercial millwork architect/engineer to join our team at our Spanish Fork location. If you have a strong background in using Cabinet Vision, Sketchup and other software, a keen eye for accuracy, and a passion for creating efficient cut-lists, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity! This person will need to have 3+ years of Cabinet Vision experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing, attention to detail and a desire for best practices and improved processes. This will also require a strong ability to work with a team in preparing jobs and working with the manufacturing team to get the most efficiency and best quality possible.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to use CV (Cabinet Vision) software to program with our preferred construction methods.
- Assist in creating and building product/hardware library.
- Review design / configuration to ensure compliant with the company's product. offerings, installation limitations as well as customer requirements.
- The ability to effectively and efficiently resolve design questions and concerns.
- Assemble an accurate cut-list that identifies all parts and machining requirements for the components required by the design.
- Provide customer support for pricing as well as be a liaison for the production departments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Engineer projects in Cabinet Vision in a way that adheres to standards and leads to efficient installation for our customers.
- Ensure all special-order items have been ordered accurately and in time.
- Develop/ maintain system to minimize material waste.
- Minimize order entry errors.
- Ensure cross training within the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required. College or technical training is preferred.
- Must be familiar with computer usage and technology.
- Understanding of the cabinet manufacturing industry.
- Drafting or design experience required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Possesses excellent communication skills, grammar, and vocabulary (both written and verbal).
- Possesses organizational and time management skills.
- Is a self-starter, able to take the lead on tasks that are assigned to them by their project manager.
- Must be a team player and work well with others.
Physical Demands (Must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Repeat the same movements.
- Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
