Job Description
Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Cabana Bartender | Full Time for the beautiful new Barton Creek Country Club! Ranked among the best resorts in Texas: Top 5 Resorts in the Southwest Conde Nast Traveler and Top 5 Resorts in Texas Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2023
Responsibilities
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the Club.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
- Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
- Mix drinks for servers and members and guests according to standard recipes.
- Maintain familiarity with the wine list, the stemware and appropriate garnishes used.
- Follow procedures as outlined in employee manual and bartender’s manual. Jigger pour, making drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros.
- Keep bar stocked and clean. Follow side work sheet.
- Monitor inventory.
- Ensure the consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails.
- Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to TABC laws.
- Be familiar with all Club amenities and activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of the entire bar area at all times.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new associates.
- Participate in associate meetings and trainings.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
Qualifications
- Must have and maintain current Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications.
- 2 years bartending experience required. Prior server experience preferred.
- Extensive wine liquor and beer knowledge required.
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hour shift.
- Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to withstand exposure to weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi task.
- Must be able to work flexible shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
