About the Job
A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a new Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for order placement and monitoring to ensure delivery of products and services to end users.
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 days a week.***
Responsibilities:
The Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator will:
- Provide customer service support to departments both on and off campus
- Oversee the entire ordering process from approved requisition to matched invoice
- Work with Suppliers for order follow-up and product research
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services of a critical nature and of significant spend volumes across all locations
- Initiate follow-up on orders to clarify, change or solve discrepancies
- Work closely with Strategic Sourcing and Data team members to identify opportunities for items needed by end users, supplier adds and changes
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a Buying and/or Purchasing-related role
- High School Diploma / GED
- Computer savvy
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
