Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Buyer-Product Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing private label products across diverse industries, with expertise in product development, sourcing, and procurement. This role requires excellent collaboration skills to work closely with design, graphics, and sales teams, as well as strong organizational abilities to manage international shipments and inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development and Sourcing:

• Oversee the development and sourcing of products.
• Collaborate with design, graphics, and sales teams to bring product concepts to reality.
• Conduct sales forecasting to determine future order requirements and manage annual replenishment of approximately 1,000 items.
• Source and develop new products to expand the product portfolio and meet market demands.
  

Inventory and Procurement Management:

• Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure product availability and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage procurement of hundreds of SKUs, ensuring streamlined and efficient purchasing processes.
• Revamp existing products to align with company standards, resulting in improved quality and cost savings.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

• Negotiate with vendors and manufacturers on pricing, services, and shipping schedules.
• Monitor production quality and ensure specifications are met, overseeing both stock and specialty products.
• Handle initial sampling, monitor production, and coordinate supply chain logistics.
• Communicate directives to the manufacturing team in China and other global suppliers, ensuring high-quality production.
  

Logistics and Shipping Coordination:

• Coordinate international shipments, handling both full container loads and consolidated shipments.
• Maintain close communication with the receiving team to ensure smooth logistical operations and proper handling of products.
  

Strategic Marketing and Distribution:

• Develop strategic and effective marketing campaigns to promote new and existing products.
• Provide strategic direction for the development department, guiding product creation and market expansion.
  

Ideal Candidate Experience:

• Proven experience in buying, particularly in managing private label products, product development a huge plus.
• Strong background in sourcing, procurement, and inventory management.
• Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with global suppliers and manufacturers.
• Proficiency in conducting sales forecasting and managing product replenishment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience in managing international shipments and logistics, including Amazon shipments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and cost savings.
• Proficiency in data analytics and tools for inventory and procurement management.
