Nikkiso ACD is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machinery designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures as low as – 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of Liquid hydrogen. For over 50 years, Nikkiso ACD has specialized in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps as well as turbines for air separation. Nikkiso ACD has the most diversified product line in the industry covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.
Job Overview:Responsible for source selection and procurement of products and services, secured at competitive cost, quality, and delivery levels consistent with Company policy and performance standards. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and physical demands required.
This position is based at Nikkiso ACD, LLC, located in Santa Ana, CA.
Responsibilities:- Responds to demand using the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software
- Create RFx packages
- Assist in Research and identification of prospective suppliers and manufacturers
- Negotiates price and delivery schedules with vendors
- Awards vendors based on vendor capability, price, and risk factors
- Monitors and controls orders once placed, maintaining records within the ERP system, the company database, and various reporting tools in Microsoft office
- Expedites orders as required, including occasional visits to vendors locations
- Tracks and organizes off-site testing at vendor locations with the project management team as required
- Reviews completeness of orders and certification packages with the quality team to provide shipping release to vendors
- Ensures completion of open items within the ERP system to assist accounts payable with invoices
- Assists in review of potential vendors for compatibility with the ACD supply chain management system
- Provides weekly status reports to the Purchasing Manager on open and upcoming orders
- Attends a variety of internal and external meetings – the buyer is expected to be well prepared and to bring valuable insight to the meetings as an active participant
- Is a willing and active participant in workshops, seminars, and training events

- Competence with general computer skills and the use of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge and use of Manfact and Epicore or similar ERP system is required
- Knowledge and use of a database system is strongly preferred
- Skilled in the operation of standard office machines including printer, scanner, and fax
- Industry knowledge or a willingness to learn
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Team-based approach
Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be accepted
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar position

Work Environmental and Physical Demands:
- In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
- Job will generally be performed in an office environment.
- May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Will be required to work with inter and intra-departmental teams to complete tasks in absence of supervision at times.
Environmental Safety Requirements
- New Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees, including Safety Awareness
- All safety related training is provided and tracked by the Environmental Health and Safety Manager
- Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis
Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPEs includes safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, dust masks and face masks. Failure to comply with safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 annually
